As part of the FIPSE grant's 21st century skills integration effort into MCC's course curriculum, the following projects will apply to AML 2600:

The Ethnic Film Project allows students to explore the critical reception of one current African American film.  The film must confront a major social, political, psychological, environmental or religious issue.

The Poetry Report sharpens students' critical thinking skills and communication skills in the areas of Harlem Renaissance Poetry to Contemporary African American Poetry.

The Oral Report Grading Criteria sheet evaluates students' performance on the above listed "Poetry Report"--Students are graded on Delivery, Style, and Content.

Study Questions  for Phillis Wheatley and Harriet Jacobs (Linda Brent).
